When Jesus Interrupts Your Direction

A devotional for Monday

Acts 9:3-4

“As he was approaching Damascus on this mission, a light from heaven suddenly shone down around him.”

Saul thought he knew exactly where he was going. He had a plan, a mission, and complete confidence in what he believed was right. Then Jesus interrupted everything. One encounter on the road to Damascus completely changed the direction of Saul’s life.

Sometimes we assume spiritual growth only happens in peaceful, well-planned moments. But often God meets us in interruptions. A conversation. A conviction. A season that falls apart. A realization we didn’t expect. God has a way of stopping us long enough to confront what we could not previously see.

Saul’s story reminds us that Jesus loves us enough to interrupt the paths that are leading us away from Him. What felt like disruption was actually mercy. The light that knocked Saul down would eventually become the light that led him forward.

Question/Challenge:
Has God been trying to get your attention through an interruption, disappointment, or unexpected change?
