What's Your Next Step?

A devotional for Friday
Luke 9:23:
Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.
Following Jesus isn't simply something we believe; it becomes the way we live. We pray because we want an ongoing conversation with God. We read Scripture because we want His truth shaping our lives. We listen for the Holy Spirit because we want God's way to become our way. We gather with the Church because we need one another. We serve because Jesus served. We share our stories because someone else needs to hear what God has done. None of us ever reaches a point where there is no next step in discipleship. Maybe yours is receiving Jesus for the first time. Maybe it's baptism, joining a church, finding community, beginning to pray regularly, digging into Scripture, serving someone, or surrendering an area you've kept for yourself. You don't have to take every step today. You simply need to faithfully take the next one.
Question/Challenge:
What is your next step in following Jesus, and what would it look like to take it this week?
