What Is Written on Your Heart?

A devotional for Friday

Jeremiah 31:33
"I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts."

The Old Testament people were instructed to write God's commands on their doorposts. Through Jesus, God promised something even greater. He would write His truth directly on our hearts. The goal has never been simply knowing about God. The goal is becoming people who reflect Him. When God's love shapes our hearts, it begins to shape our lives. The way we speak. The way we serve. The way we forgive. The way we respond to people. Eventually, our lives begin telling a story about God long before we ever say a word. The question isn't just what Scripture you have memorized. The question is what your life communicates to the people around you. What is written on your heart will eventually be seen in your actions.
