Trust Looks Like Something

A devotional for Thursday
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
It's easy to say we trust God when nothing important feels at risk. Trust becomes much more tangible when we're asked to place something valuable into His hands. Our future. Our families. Our finances. Our plans. Our possessions. Our security. Trust says, "God, I believe Your way is better than mine even when I can't see how this works out." That's why trust is at the heart of worship. Worship isn't only something we sing; it's surrendering first place in our lives to God. The places we refuse to surrender can reveal where we're struggling to believe God will actually come through. Growing spiritually means learning, little by little, to loosen our grip. We discover that the God asking for our trust is also the God who has proven Himself faithful.
Question/Challenge:
What are you holding tightly because you're struggling to trust God with it?
