The Spirit and Generosity

A devotional for Thursday
2 Corinthians 9:7
“God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
A Spirit-filled life changes how we see what we’ve been given. Time, talent, money, resources, and opportunities all become ways to participate in God’s work. Generosity is not simply about obligation; it flows from trust. When we believe God is our provider, we can hold what we have with open hands. The early church understood this deeply. They recognized that everything ultimately belonged to God. Generosity isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it looks like consistency. Faithfulness. Supporting the work of ministry. Meeting practical needs. Offering what you have so others can experience the love of Christ. A generous church is built by people who each decide to participate in what God is doing.
Question/Challenge:
What is one practical way you can practice generosity this week with your time, talent, or resources?
