A devotional for Thursday

Matthew 27:22
“What should I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?”

Palm Sunday asks one question. Good Friday asks another. It’s one thing to celebrate Jesus when the crowd is cheering. It’s another to stand with Him when things get quiet, heavy, and uncertain. The question isn’t just “Will you praise Him?” It’s “Will you follow Him?” Friday represents the moments when faith becomes costly. When obedience is inconvenient. When following Jesus means choosing His way over your own. These are the moments that shape us. Anyone can join the parade. Not everyone stays for the cross. But it’s in those moments of staying that our faith deepens. It’s where trust is formed and where transformation begins. Jesus doesn’t just invite us to celebrate Him; He invites us to walk with Him, all the way through.
