The Breath of God

A devotional for Friday

John 20:22
"Then he breathed on them and said, 'Receive the Holy Spirit.'"

We aren't called to live this way through our own strength. The same Holy Spirit who fills us also empowers us to live on mission. When we gather, He renews us. When we scatter, He goes with us. We don't have to manufacture courage, compassion, or wisdom. We simply stay connected to the One who gives life. God's breath fills our hearts so that His love can flow into the world around us. As we continue breathing in His presence and breathing out His grace, we become the kind of people who reflect Jesus wherever we go.
