Taste and See

A devotional for Thursday
Psalm 34:8
“Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!”
There’s a difference between hearing something is good and experiencing it for yourself. “Taste and see” is an invitation to step in, not just observe from a distance. Sometimes we hesitate to fully trust God. We want certainty before we commit. But faith often works the other way around...we step out, and then we see. Just like trying a new food, sometimes the hardest part is taking the first bite. But once you do, everything changes. Trusting God begins in small, tangible ways. Choosing His way over your own. Leaning on Him instead of controlling everything. Taking refuge in Him instead of running elsewhere. As you do, you begin to experience His goodness personally. Not as an idea, but as reality. And once you’ve tasted that, it changes how you see everything else.
Question/Challenge:
What is one area where you can take a small step of trust and “taste and see” God’s goodness this week?
