Prayer Is Never Small

A devotional for Wednesday

Acts 9:40
“But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed.”

Before Peter spoke to Tabitha, he prayed. In the middle of grief and uncertainty, prayer became the first response. Prayer reminds us that God is still present even when situations feel impossible. Many people carry others through prayer in ways no one fully sees. Parents pray over children. Friends pray through hard seasons. Caregivers pray through exhaustion. Prayer may feel quiet, but it is never powerless. It places what we cannot control into God’s hands. Sometimes prayer is the most loving thing we can offer because it acknowledges our dependence on God. When life feels beyond our strength, prayer becomes an act of surrender and trust.

Question/Challenge:
Who is someone you can intentionally pray for today instead of simply worrying about them?
