More Than a Sunday Activity

A devotional for Wednesday

John 20:21
"As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you."

Jesus didn't treat ministry as something He squeezed into His schedule. It was His life. He taught while walking. He ministered around tables. He loved people in interruptions. He met needs during ordinary moments. When Jesus sends us as the Father sent Him, He invites us into that same way of living. Following Jesus isn't a hobby we pick up when we have free time. It becomes part of who we are. This is the difference between doing ministry and being a disciple. One is an activity. The other is an identity. When we see ourselves as sent people, everyday life becomes filled with opportunities to love, encourage, serve, and point people toward Christ.
