Love is the Evidence

A devotional for FridayScripture: John 15:9–10 “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.”Reflection: The goal of relationship with God is not religious success...it’s love. Jesus connects obedience to remaining in love, not earning love. We obey not to secure God’s affection, but because we already live inside it. When love is the foundation, obedience becomes a response instead of a requirement. This changes the tone of the whole Christian life. We stop asking, “How far is too far?” and start asking, “What reflects love?” Sin is not just breaking a rule; it’s turning away from relationship. Holiness is not cold perfection; it’s wholehearted love. The more we stay aware of how deeply we are loved, the more naturally love flows outward. Love for God always spills into love for others. This is the fruit Jesus was talking about: a life shaped by divine love. Question/Challenge: Who in your life could tangibly experience God’s love through you this week?
