Gathered Together

A devotional for Monday

Acts 2:1
“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place.”

Before the rushing wind and the tongues of fire, there was something simple: people gathered together. The believers showed up. They waited together. They prayed together. There is something powerful about faithful presence in community. We often underestimate how much God does when His people simply gather with open hearts. In a world that pushes isolation and independence, the church reminds us that faith was never meant to be lived alone. God often works through shared spaces, shared prayers, and shared lives. The disciples didn’t know exactly what was coming, but they stayed together in expectation. Sometimes obedience looks less dramatic than we imagine. Sometimes it simply means showing up faithfully and remaining open to what God wants to do.

Question/Challenge:
How can you be more intentional about showing up for Christian community this week?
