Every one of us is gathering around something. We gather around sports, social media, success, or even gossip. But the things we gather around have a way of shaping us and often they define us more than we realize.

Scripture

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20

Reflection

From the Garden of Eden to the disciples’ table, God has always invited His people to gather around Him. When we gather around Jesus, we’re reminded of who we are: His beloved children. If we gather around lesser things, we find ourselves chasing empty promises. Choosing where we gather is choosing what defines our lives.
