Fear Isn’t the End of the Story

A devotional for Tuesday
Matthew 28:8
“The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened…”
The first response to the resurrection wasn’t pure joy, it was fear. The women ran from the tomb, overwhelmed by what they had just experienced. That might feel surprising, but it’s deeply human. When something shifts unexpectedly, even if it’s good, it can still feel unsettling. Fear doesn’t mean something is wrong. Sometimes it simply means something is changing. The women didn’t stay frozen in their fear...they kept moving. They ran, carrying both their fear and the message they had been given. Faith doesn’t require the absence of fear. It invites us to move forward in the middle of it. God is not intimidated by your fear, your questions, or your uncertainty. He meets you there and leads you forward.
Question/Challenge:
What would it look like to keep moving forward in faith, even with the fear you’re carrying?
