Faithfulness That Gets Noticed

A devotional for Monday

Acts 9:36
“She was always doing kind things for others and helping the poor.”

When Luke introduces Tabitha, he doesn’t mention status, success, or accomplishments. He points to her kindness. Her faith showed up in practical ways: in serving, caring, noticing needs, and helping others. That’s often how God’s love works in the world. Quietly. Consistently. Faithfulness rarely feels dramatic in the moment. It looks like ordinary acts repeated over time: meals prepared, prayers whispered, encouragement offered, needs noticed, people cared for. These things may not receive applause, but they deeply matter to God. In a culture that often celebrates visibility and recognition, Scripture reminds us that love lived out faithfully leaves a powerful legacy. God sees every unseen act of compassion. Nothing offered in love is wasted.

Question/Challenge:
What small act of faithfulness might God be calling you to continue, even if it feels unnoticed?
