Encounters With Jesus Change You

A devotional for Thursday
Acts 9:20
“And immediately he began preaching about Jesus.”
Saul did not simply gain new information about Jesus. He encountered the living Christ, and that encounter changed everything. The man who once opposed Jesus immediately began proclaiming Him.
There is a difference between knowing facts about Jesus and surrendering your life to Him. It is possible to attend church, know Scripture, and understand religious ideas while still keeping Jesus at a distance. Saul’s story reminds us that Christianity is not merely about information; it is about transformation.
When Jesus truly changes someone, it affects the direction of their life, their priorities, and the way they see the world. Transformation may not always happen instantly in every area, but genuine encounters with Jesus always produce change over time.
The Holy Spirit does more than improve us. He makes us new.
Question/Challenge:
Are you simply familiar with Jesus, or are you actively surrendering your life to Him?
