Blindness Can Become a Gift

A devotional for Tuesday
Acts 9:8-9
“When he opened his eyes he was blind.”
Saul lost his sight before he truly began to see. The man who thought he understood everything suddenly became dependent on others to lead him forward. For three days he sat in darkness, unable to rely on his own strength, knowledge, or direction.
We usually think of blindness as something negative, but sometimes God allows us to reach the end of ourselves so we can finally depend on Him. Seasons of uncertainty can expose how much we trust our own control rather than God’s leadership.
Many of us spend our lives trying to force clarity, outcomes, and direction. But surrender often begins when we admit we cannot fix or control everything ourselves. Saul’s blindness humbled him, slowed him down, and prepared him for transformation.
What felt like weakness became the doorway to a completely new life.
Question/Challenge:
What might God be trying to teach you in a season where you don’t have all the answers?
