Is Jesus My King?

Pastor Thomas Crummer   -

Scripture
John 18:36
“My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom.”

Reflection
It’s easy to celebrate Jesus as King in theory. It’s harder to submit to Him in practice. A king doesn’t just inspire; a king commands loyalty. Jesus challenges our desire to stay in control of our lives. We may love Him as Savior, comforter, or teacher, but kingship requires obedience. Herod feared Jesus because he knew that no king can share a throne. The same is true for us. Christmas forces us to confront the question of allegiance. Are we shaping our lives around Jesus’ kingdom, or asking Him to fit into ours? His reign brings peace, but not always comfort. It brings freedom, but often through surrender. The good news is that this King is trustworthy. His rule leads to life.

Question / Challenge
What would it look like today to live as though Jesus truly reigns over your decisions, priorities, and power?
