Peace That Moves Us Toward Others

Pastor Thomas Crummer   -

A devotional for Friday

One of the most surprising truths about peace is that it’s not just meant to be personal; it’s meant to flow outward. God’s patience toward us becomes the model for our patience toward others. His desire that no one be lost shapes how we treat the people around us. Peace grows when judgment shrinks. Peace expands when compassion rises. When we live with a kingdom mindset, our interactions become places where God’s grace takes root.

“And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved.”
2 Peter 3:15

If God has been patient with us, we are called to extend that same patience to others. Peace invites us to slow down, listen well, and assume the best rather than jump to conclusions. It urges us to restore relationships rather than abandon them. It pushes us to see people the way God sees them: beloved, redeemable, worth pursuing. When we align with His heart, our homes and communities become places where wholeness grows. Peace becomes contagious.

Question/Challenge:
Who is the one person you need to extend more patience, grace, or understanding toward this week?
