The Ongoing Journey Home
A devotional for Friday
“‘For this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began.”
Luke 15:24
Devotional
Repentance isn’t a one-time event; it’s a daily rhythm. Each morning is another chance to leave behind what’s broken and take one more step toward home. God doesn’t grow tired of our returning; He delights in it. Every day you wake up is another chance to choose the Father’s house over the pigsty. To cry out, “Father, take me with You.” Holiness isn’t perfection; it’s proximity…walking close to the One who keeps running toward you.
Question/Challenge:
What’s one way you can intentionally “walk home” today through prayer, confession, or worship? How can you make repentance part of your daily rhythm, not your occasional regret?
