Living at the Table With Confidence
A devotional for Friday
Introduction:
Psalm 23:5 paints a stunning picture, not a table in peaceful solitude, but a feast prepared in the presence of enemies. God doesn’t remove every challenge; He shows His faithfulness right in the middle of them. When you sit with Christ, you sit in victory, confidence, and protection. His oil covers you, His cup overflows for you, and His presence disarms every lie that rises against you. You don’t have to earn your seat at the table; it’s been prepared for you.
Scripture:
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.”
Jeremiah 17:7
Reflection:
Confidence in Christ is not arrogance; it’s alignment. It’s choosing to believe what God says about you rather than what the enemy whispers about you. You are not worthless. You are not too far gone. In Christ, you have everything you need to walk in victory over your thought life, your habits, and your fears. When you dine with the King, you begin to truly live.
Challenge:
Where do you need to shift your confidence from yourself to Christ this week?
