Joining the Celebration
A devotional for Friday
“We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!”
Luke 15:32
Reflection:
The story ends with music, laughter, and a feast, but one person refuses to come in. Sometimes it’s easier to stand outside the party than to celebrate someone else’s restoration. But grace invites us to rejoice in every story of redemption, not compare our own. Every time God restores someone, heaven throws a party. The question is, will we join it? When we forgive, when we cheer for someone’s comeback, we start to live like the Father, not the older brother.
