Anointed and Protected
A devotional for Wednesday
Scripture:
“You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
Psalm 23:5
Reflection:
In biblical times, oil was used to protect and honor. God anoints us similarly, not just for blessing, but for protection. He guards our hearts and equips us to live freely in His abundance. God’s anointing is more than symbolism; it’s His presence over our lives, keeping us safe from the subtle attacks of sin and distraction. Like a shepherd protecting the sheep, He secures us, helping us thrive in the midst of life’s challenges.
Challenge/Question:
Where do you need God’s protection most today? How can you rest in His anointing and trust Him to guard your heart?
