A Witness to the World

Dr. Jeremy Selvidge   -

A devotional for Thursday

Introduction
The Spirit’s work in the gathering didn’t stay hidden. Outsiders noticed something different, something unexplainable, something that pointed to the wonderful works of God. When God moves in His people, the world pays attention.

Scripture
“And we all hear these people speaking in our own languages about the wonderful things God has done!”
Acts 2:11

Reflection
Gathering with God’s people isn’t just about us. It’s about what the world sees through us. When God moves in a church, others notice. Your faithfulness in gathering might be the very thing that helps someone else see God’s reality. The question the crowd asked – “What does this mean?” – is the beginning of curiosity that can lead to faith.

Question/Challenge
How might your faithful gathering become a witness to those around you?
